Some new advancements in eye drops that allow those 40 and up who have never worn glasses to avoid bifocals! Sounds great, but there are some risks as well.

The first drop that came to the market, Vuity, helps to constrict the pupil, which can increase depth of focus for near tasks. Great news, it does work! The downsides are the risks and side effects. This includes redness, irritation, and risk of retinal detachments. It also lasts only 6-8 hours.
Vizz can act differently from Vuity. It will constrict the pupil, but spare the ciliary muscle, which has less risk. However, many patients complained of more tunnel vision and had very red eyes for the first few days. Redness can improve with more use.
Yuvezzi came out in January 2026. This is better suited for those with mild to moderate presbyopia (need for reading glasses). Side effects are similar: redness, dim/dark vision.
Overall, most patients have preferred reading glasses over these side effects. Please call for more information.
* These drops are not suited for everyone.
